Position Overview
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is equally comfortable resetting a user’s Microsoft 365 password, troubleshooting desktop issues, deploying hundreds of laptops for a government project, and leading strategic initiatives such as cybersecurity compliance and IT process improvements.
The ideal candidate has previous experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or in a similarly fast-paced consulting environment where balancing multiple priorities and delivering exceptional customer service were essential. Experience with ConnectWise and modern Microsoft cloud administration is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & End User Support
- Serve as the primary technical resource for the organization, providing responsive, customer-focused support to employees in a hybrid work environment.
- Manage the IT help desk, prioritize tickets, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and resolve complex technical problems.
- Administer Microsoft 365, including:
- Microsoft 365 Admin Center
- Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Exchange Online
- Teams
- SharePoint
- User provisioning and deprovisioning
- Password resets
- MFA administration
- Microsoft licensing
- Utilize Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) tools to proactively maintain and support company devices.
- Manage company IT assets and lifecycle processes.
Infrastructure & Technology Operations
- Maintain secure, reliable, and scalable IT infrastructure.
- Lead hardware procurement, deployment, imaging, configuration, inventory management, and equipment recovery.
- Support large-scale deployment projects involving hundreds of devices on accelerated timelines.
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and technology partners.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Maintain the organization’s cybersecurity posture and continuously improve security controls.
- Guide the organization to achieve and maintain certifications such as:
- CMMC 2.0
- SOC 2
- ISO 27001
- The ideal candidate would have either:
- direct experience leading certification efforts, or
- experience working closely with third-party compliance firms and the ability to effectively manage those engagements.
- Develop and maintain security policies, disaster recovery plans, business continuity documentation, and change management processes.
Business Partnership
- Act as a trusted technology advisor to business leaders.
- Recommend solutions that improve operational efficiency and employee experience.
- Monitor technology performance, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues before they impact the business.
- Develop KPIs and reporting to measure IT performance and service delivery.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of progressively responsible IT operations experience.
- Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience, including licensing, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, MFA, and user lifecycle management.
- Experience supporting hybrid work environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a customer-service mindset.
- Experience managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Highly Preferred
- Previous experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
- Experience using ConnectWise or similar PSA/ticketing platforms.
- Experience with RMM platforms such as Action1.
- Experience supporting organizations pursuing CMMC, SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, or similar compliance frameworks.
- Experience coordinating with third-party cybersecurity and compliance vendors.

Key Responsibilities
- Takes ownership of accounts and develops new business on new and existing accounts
- Search for new business development opportunities and help to grow existing client business, by leveraging proposals and other internal resources
- Assist with reporting and maintenance of business development pipeline
- Work with the proposal team to develop high quality proposals; develop organizational competencies, and leverage personal experience to submit winning proposals
- Diversify existing client accounts by developing new client contacts and new business within existing clients.
